Do your best to do the following before Saturday morning.
2) Download X-Code 6 Here you will be asked to create an Apple Developer account (you only need the free version, if you already have an Apple ID, you can sign in with this)
3) Download Cocoapods
Note: If you are downloading CocoaPods using the “stock” Ruby on your computer (meaning you haven't downloaded a different version of Ruby on your computer), then from terminal you should run:
sudo gem install cocoapods
If you are running “rvm” (maybe because you went to a RailsBridge event and installed this version), then from your terminal you should run:
gem install cocoapods
Unsure which version of ruby are running? Type ruby -v into your terminal, press enter and then which ruby and press enter again.
In this workshop, we'll take you through building a complete iPhone application using Objective-C and X-Code. At the end of the day, you will have developed an application on the internet that connects to a database and reads and writes information.
