This is a Ruby on Rails event. The focus will be on developing web apps and programming in Ruby. You can find all the curriculum materials at docs.railsbridge.org.

This workshop is intended to reach out to women who are interested in learning Ruby on Rails. Men are welcome to come if you find a woman who wants to learn Ruby on Rails and come together. RailsBridge is emphatically queer and trans* friendly.
In this workshop, we'll take you through building a complete web application using Ruby on Rails. By the end of the day, you'll have an application that connects to a database and reads and writes information.
Please come to the Installfest on Friday the 3rd, if your laptop is not set up for Ruby on Rails development. We'll meet up to install all of the software you need, and then spend Saturday learning and writing code. Programmers of all skill levels are welcome. We will have different classes separated by experience level.
Thank you to Pandora and Open Oakland for co-sponsoring food for all our hard-working students and volunteers, and to Pandora for hosting the workshop at their offices!
Breakfast will be bagels and coffee. Lunch TBD.
Childcare will be provided if requested in advance. (You'll have an opportunity to do so when you RSVP!)
Everyone's reminded that volunteers and students usually hang out for a drink Saturday, after the workshop is done. Location TBD.
