Workshop Description

This workshop is intended to reach out to women, transgender and non-binary people, and people of color who have some prior programming experience and are interested in learning web development with Elixir and Phoenix.

In this workshop, we’ll introduce you to Elixir, a functional programming language built on Erlang that focuses on reliability and concurrency. We’ll learn about Phoenix, a web development framework, and then dive into the OTP behaviors that Elixir is built on for lightweight and massively parallel asynchronous processes.
