Workshop Description

So you've been learning Go and have a basic understanding of the language. You can compile and run programs and "Hello, World" like a boss. You may have created a web app that can handle requests. But now what? How do you take that knowledge and turn it into a scalable and production ready web service?

This 2 day class covers the Ultimate Service material from Ardan Labs. The class goes beyond just the use of the http package and focuses on building CRUD based services with logging, observability and debugging. The class teaches POD architectures, Docker and cloud deployment. This class is perfect for anyone wishing to build production ready, scalable, fast, and highly concurrent web services in Go.

Prerequisite:
* A fully working Go environment and can build a basic Go application.
* A basic understanding of the standard library net/http package.
* A basic understanding of Docker.
