When registering, guys, you will be asked who you are coming as a guest of please be sure to fill out this question.

The workshop is FREE of charge!

We are also looking for volunteers, both folks who know Ruby on Rails to teach and people who are willing to help with logistics. Please sign up here to be a volunteer.

In this workshop, we'll take you through building a complete web application using Ruby on Rails. By the end of the workshop, you'll have an application on the internet that connects to a database and reads and writes information.

We'll meet up Install Fest day to install all of the software you need, and then spend workshop day learning and writing code. You must attend the Install Fest on Friday so we can all get working on our Rails project first thing Saturday.

Total programming novices, system administrators, developers in other languages, and folks who attended our previous workshops and need a refresher are all welcome. We'll have different groups separated by experience level. Each participant needs to bring his or her own laptop to work on.

When you RSVP you'll be asked a few question about your laptop operating system, level and type of programming experience, and whether you will be bringing any children. We will plan for a playgroup on site if you're bringing a child.

Snacks will be provided Friday evening and lunch will be provided on Saturday.
If you have questions or ideas for us, the best way to get in touch is to send a message to the organizers.
