Who Can Attend?

EVERYONE is welcome to attend. You do NOT need to be a student.

Workshop Description

Learn Ruby on Rails, a framework that lets you create impressive web applications with ease! We'll spend the afternoon building a web app, and there will be plenty of mentors available to help everyone along the way.

Sponsors

This workshop is sponsored by Mad-Railers, a group of volunteers in Madison dedicating to learning and teaching everything Ruby, Rails, and the related communities.

Transportation and Parking

Taking the bus or using a B-Cycle is probably the easiest way to get to the Computer Sciences building. If you need to drive, there should be parking available for a fee either at Union South or at the Engineering Hall ramp. Street parking might be available to the south of the building, but it's usually full.

Food and Drinks

We're working on getting a sponsor to supply food and drinks... stay tuned!

Childcare

We should have volunteers ready to watch over children for whom you need childcare. Please bring any items necessary for the happiness and well-being of your children.

Afterparty

We'll be getting together at The Sett in Union South for post-event merriment. We won't be able to provide any food or beverage, so purchases will be the responsibility of attendees.
