Workshop Description

This workshop is intended to reach out to women and non-binary people of all programming experience levels who are interested in learning web development with Ruby on Rails! If you are a man, you're welcome to attend as the 1+ of a women or non-binary person attending. We are emphatically queer & trans inclusive!

In this workshop, we'll take you through the process of building a complete web application using Ruby on Rails. By the end of the day, you'll have an application that connects to a database, reads and writes data, and renders html in a browser.

We'll meet up Friday to install all of the software needed, and then spend Saturday learning and writing code. Programmers of all skill levels are welcome and students will be separated into different classes based on the experience level they choose when signing up.
