Workshop Description

Railsbridge at the Mothership!

Do you have a big idea that the world needs to be an app? Do you want to see what's going on behind the scenes at all of these huge tech companies? Are you just a curious person and love to learn?

Come join us at The Mothership on November 3rd and 4th. You, other highly motivated learners, and professional developer volunteers will get together and the the first (or second, or third) steps into understanding programming and web app development.

This workshop is intended to reach out to women, transgender and non-binary people, and people of color who have some prior programming experience and are interested in learning web development. If you are a cis-white man, you're welcome to attend as the +1 of a woman, non-binary person, trans person, or person of color attending.

Railsbridge is an inclusive, volunteer run, open source curriculum and workshop focused on getting people from more diverse backgrounds into web development. You will be learning all of the skills needed to code and deploy a fully functional web application by the end of this workshop. No prior experience coding is necessary, just bring an open mind and a willingness to learn!
