This is a Scala event. At the end of the day, you will have learned to code and to create a couple of fun applications in Scala yourself.
Rather than lecture-lab, this hand-on workshop is designed for self-paced learning, mentors will float and help you with any questions and issues you may have working through the course.
We will also have a short talk after lunch on resources for beginners so you can keep learning even after this workshop!
You can find the curriculum here: https://www.creativescala.org/creative-scala.html
This workshop is intended to reach out to women, people of color or anyone who identifies as belonging to a group that is ***underrepresented*** in tech who is interested in learning Scala.
