This is a Ruby on Rails event. The focus will be on developing web apps and programming in Ruby. You can find all the curriculum materials at docs.railsbridge.org.
Please note that the correct address for Outright/GoDaddy is 100 Mathilda Place, not 100 N Mathilda Ave.
Let's meet at the Outright/GoDaddy office in Sunnyvale for a day of Rails learning. We'll cover the beginning Rails curriculum as usual, as well as the intermediate level if there is interest. Here's the schedule:
6pm – 9pm: Software Installfest (REQUIRED)
Please plan on being there for 30-90 minutes to get all software installed or updated. You may already have done this before, but we need to make sure you have the latest versions of the software we'll use.
9:00am – 4:30pm: Workshop
5pm: After-party for volunteers & attendees
It's necessary to do ALL of the following to complete registration:
Confirm that the email address you have listed in your RSVP is actually one that you check on a regular basis. (We'll be sending updates, notifications, and to-dos prior to the event, and you'll lose your spot if you fail to respond in a timely manner.)
Register here at BridgeTroll. It will provide us with details about your operating system, the type and level of programming experience you have, and whether you will need childcare. You must register before 5pm on Monday, October 28 2013, so we can compile the final list of attendees and allow those on the wait-list to take open spots. If you need childcare, please make sure to get the registration form to us as soon as possible so we can work with you to arrange a safe environment for your kids!
