Railsbridge Workparty & Volunteer Potluck

Work Party

Sun 5/18/2014
Start time: 12:00 pm PDT
End time: 4:00 pm PDT

Hi Everyone!

I’m looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday. Here’s a brief rundown of what we have in the works:

Greeters/Door Person
Got them! Thank you!

Bridgetroll installfest
Currently the Bridgetroll development environment is such that one needs to be fairly experienced to set it up. So not many people are able to contribute. We need a couple of junior-engineering types to work through the Installfest and iron the bugs out, plus a couple senior-engineer types to pair with them

Pride Intro To Rails
In honor of Pride month, we are collaborating with queer women organizations (primarily Lesbians Who Tech) to produce a queer Intro to Rails Workshop for Women. Come find out what that’s all about!

Organizing Future Railsbridge Events:
July - needs a co-organizer and to choose a date w/ Optimizely
June - Since the June 13/14 event is reserved for queer women, should we maybe have a workshop for the general community?
Lightning Talks - originally scheduled for July
Teacher Training and Curricula - This was being discussed around the time of the last work party, and is available if anyone is interested
August 5 anniversary workshop - We are having our 5 year anniversary in August, and Sarah Allen is co-organizing it!
September 6 Front End + Javascript Workshop
See you soon!
